Putting Safety First

Parents sucessfully completed the ‘Bankside Foundation Safety and Rescue Training’ (FSRT)

The course aims to provide the particant with the key safety and rescue skills required to opporate safely and to be able to deal with common emergencies. The course ran for eight hours and all particapants were successful.

Chester Riverside canoe club parents undertook the training with enthusiasm working together to enhance their saftey skills in order for them to give valuble support to their children while on the water.

This training was requested by the parents after a recent trip away, parents wanted to give assissance to a paddler in need of help and felt this training should be undertaken by all parents as you never know when you might be called upon to help rescue someone in need.
